making time:

thinking I was embarking on an e.course in 'making'-time,
I had misconstrued the situation; it was in fact
a 31-day challenge to make more time for the things you love
a free resource, delivered daily to your inbox from the marvellous
Do What You Love for Life team

it’s been perfect: today’s 13th day challenge, to eat lunch outside (13mns)
ate a custard tart in the rain in my garden
a chance to taste and see things differently – delicious

appreciating & acknowledging the gifts that surround us
from friends, from nature, from all around us…

EACH DAY I MAKE A NOTE OF GIFTS – A BIRD’S SONG, A CHILD’S SMILE, A PHONE CALL FROM A FRIEND

AND RECENTLY, AS I SIFT THE POSSESSIONS I HAVE I REMEMBER
SOME of the people who have inspired in me a deeper appreciation of things,
the Cakoni family, from Albania (below)
part of a New Internationalist project where families from all over the world took outside
all their possessions with which they were then photographed. It’s striking to see how joyful
some people appear when they have so little, though nonethless appreciate hugely what they do have
