Defining oneself in any way can be a challenge.
\nI am a . . . . . .\u00a0 can<\/em> seem somewhat reductive.
\nIt can feel as though one is contorting to fit into a box.
\ncould this be because
\nthe reality is more that<\/span>
\nwe are limitless,\u00a0 indivisible beings
\nand thus separating the self
\nfrom all that is
\nfrom everything
\nfrom every one
\nfrom every experience
\nseems the antithesis of our true nature?<\/p>\n

It can\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>of course useful to unpick what one is:\u00a0 as a way of
\nboth understanding self and<\/em> of communing with others.
\n\"LillHandEyeFoto\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Making an artist’s statement<\/strong> is a continuing challenge for me.
\nHow to pr\u00e9cis all one is into a cogent package – aaaaarrrggghhh<\/p>\n

this is my latest go at it
\nit takes me hours
\n(it takes as long as it takes)
\n<\/strong>and still leaves plenty to be desired<\/p>\n

\nLilla is a bricoleur – i.e.
\none who creates using what is to hand.<\/span>
\nShe makes books, takes photographs, writes,
\nmakes moving image work, draws, blogs,
\nis a documenter, makes collage, builds shrines,
\nand is a primitiv print maker<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s so easy to overlook what’s under your nose. . . .
\nyet so easy to see what’s under someone else’s!<\/p>\n

an artist who does not know me swiftly spotted
\nthat one of my passions
\nis all things papery
\n<\/em><\/strong>thank you Matt!

Later that evening, inspired by the rather mysterious cover<\/p>\n

\nthe paper shape that\u00a0covers a three-prong plug,
\nI started playing with paper and scissors. . . .<\/p>\n
