getting back to La Serenissima?<\/h2>\n

I’m doing this in the context of developing a work project, part of a\u00a0proposition for an artist’s residency in Venice:
\nworking with individuals exploring the watery city from a ‘below the parapet perspective’, the result might
\nbe handmade,\u00a0or perhaps digital, using a tablet or smartphone, maybe making a short moving image work?<\/p>\n

I envisage the details becoming clearer and \u00a0it’ll be good to see its form emerge and to name the project…<\/p>\n

How the idea started: you may have seen\u00a0these images (below\/left),\u00a0the\u00a0fresh things garnered from looking &
\nseeing in\u00a0my local neighbourhood<\/p>\n

next, \u00a0the words evoked by\u00a0the\u00a0images, affixed to\u00a0separate \u00a0cards;<\/p>\n

and\u00a0the images affixed to their cards, \u00a0making a deck of both \u00a0text & visual images<\/p>\n

the whole deck could go in this tin, or I might make a container, \u00a0wrap-around perhaps?<\/p>\n

we now have a pocket game to\u00a0play:- perhaps\u00a0arranging words and pictures to create random mash-ups,
\nor consciously constructing new personal narratives<\/p>\n

above is\u00a0a friend’s fast, non-thought-out response to the cards, which he states\u00a0reads<\/p>\n

the tiny motorbike leaves the peeling banana tree standing
\nthe the bench is waving at the steps<\/em>\u00a0near home
\ncoloured\u00a0ice-cream\u00a0tree lights the community
\n<\/em>through a blue vista<\/em><\/p>\n
